Makonda to meet residents in office from Wed
ARUSHA: ARUSHA Regional Commissioner Paul Makonda has announced a three – day campaign beginning Wednesday of meeting Arusha residents to hear and deal with their challenges.
He told reporters over the weekend that the campaign would be known as “a fair campaign for the voiceless to air their concerns at his office in Arusha CBD.
He said that even the President Samia Suluhu Hassan was not happy to see that the poor majority denied their rights or justice.
“I am announcing to you today that on the 8th, 9th and 10th of this Month, I am going to have a special campaign to restore rights to every citizen of Arusha Region,” he said.
Mr Makonda encouraged anybody who has been denied his/her right to come forward to speak out, and he promised to listen all concerns.
“ If you have a challenge or any matter related to children rights, gender violence or land disputes and anything else come to seek solution,” he said.
“When justice disappears, hearts shrink, desperation and disaster occur,” he said
