President Ruto expected in Tanzania for 2-day state visit

THE newly elected Kenyan President William Ruto is expected in Tanzania on Monday, ready to begin his two-day official visit.

His maiden trip to Tanzania, as the President of the Republic of Kenya, will start on October 9, 2022 and end October 10, 2022.

After visiting Ethiopia where he launched Safaricom Ethiopia, Kenyan media outlets reported that his next destinations would be Tanzania and Uganda.

He will be visiting the two neighbouring countries with business and political ties agendas.

On September 13, 2022, a week after the Supreme Court confirmed his win, William Ruto was inaugurated as Kenya’s fifth president.

Tanzania President Samia Suluhu Hassan visited Kenya last year, a few months after assuming power.

The visit zeroed in on various issues including trade, economic and social issues.

While in Kenya, President Samia held bilateral talks with then President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House in Nairobi.
