Organization funds medical expenses for needy

A  total of 13 patients from  poor communities who suffer from Hernia, hydrocele and Benign Prostate hypertrophy (BPH) will  have a sigh  of relief  following  an assistance  extended  to them by Shree Jalaram Seva Mandal Organization to cover  their treatment costs.

Shree Jalaram Seva Mandal member of trustee Mr Kishorbhai Modi the organisation   has set aside 6.5 m/- to cover their surgical treatment and other costs.

Modi said that the surgery and related treatment exercise will take place today (Saturday) at Hafford Hospital in Temeke Municipality in Dar es Salaam.

“My organisation will take care of all costs and in addition we will provide wheelchairs for the needy, tricycle, medicine, walking sticks and other financial support until they are completely healed,” said Modi.

He said the money set aside to fund the treatment cost has been raised from its trustee members and other well-wishers, where for the past 20 years, it has reached out more than 200 people with medical support.

“We aim looks to support good course of humanity,” he said.

For her part, the senior nurse from Hafford hospital Ms Deodata Msoma, explained that all 13 patients will be admitted and undergo the surgical procedures as planned .

She elaborated that, patients will be admitted for three days at her hospital after surgery, for continued healing process before being discharged and come back after seven days for other medical checkups.

The beneficiaries who are all mainly  elders  are from different regions in the country.

The move complements the government efforts of ensuring community health for economic development.

Shree Jalaram Seva Mandal Organization also serves free foods for those who are not able to manage getting such meals in Dar es Salaam city center among other charity works.
