SIMBA have described Aubin Kramo as a versatile striker who will help them a lot in their upcoming competitive matches in both domestic and international assignments in their bid to perform better than the last season.
Kramo was officially introduced yesterday via the club’s verified Instagram account and he becomes the second foreign import to land at the club in the ongoing transfer window.
The Ivorian striker has been roped in from ASEC Mimosas where he was trading before sealing a lucrative deal to offer his services at the Msimbazi Street giants.
“He is a versatile striker and has a potential to help our team achieve a lot in the upcoming season…we are excited to have him as one of our players,” said Simba’s Media and Communication Manager Ahmed Ally.
In another development, the new Simba Team Manager and Head of Sports Science Mikael Igendia has envisioned a prosperous 2023/24 season saying he is grateful to land at the club.
The Kenyan was paraded on Thursday in Dar es Salaam alongside two other technical members who are Corneille Hategekimana (fitness coach) and Daniel Cedana (goalkeeping coach).
The trio will work abreast Head Coach Roberto Oliveira in ensuring that their next season’s brigade is well charged to do well in both domestic and international assignments.
Their main task will be to help the team win back three domestic titles they have missed in two consecutive seasons which are Premier League, Azam Sports Federation Cup (ASFC) and Community Shield.
However, in his brief remarks after being unveiled, Igenda expressed his happiness for joining Simba saying it is a respectable thing to him.
“I am here to do my best, help the coach, management and football fans in making sure that we achieve our intended goals,” he said while forecasting a great season ahead.
However, for Cedana (goalkeeping coach), he already has a good understanding of Tanzania football as before joining Simba, he was parading at Azam hence he is not new in the country’s football circles.
He is set to sharpen further Simba’s first choice goalie Aishi Manula who had been out of action for the remainder of last season due to injury and he was replaced by the team’s back up shot stopper Ally Salim.
Salim has since established himself at Simba as he was entrusted in big matches that the club engaged last season including the two-legged CAF Champions League clash versus Moroccan side Raja Casablanca.
Next term, Salim is likely going to enjoy more playing time following the departure of Beno Kakolanya who was recently given a farewell hand by the Msimbazi street giants.
However, football analysts in the country have been calling the management of Simba to recruit another experienced goalkeeper to beef up the goalkeeping department prior to the next term.
