TASAF empowers beneficiaries at Zanzibar trade fair

ZANZIBAR: THE Tanzania Social Action Fund (TASAF) has made a significant impact at the recent Zanzibar International Trade Fair (ZITF) by empowering beneficiaries of the Targeted Poverty Reduction Programme.

The fair provided a platform for beneficiaries from Pemba and Unguja islands to showcase and sell their products, boosting their economic activities.

TASAF, a government initiative aimed at reducing poverty and improving the lives of vulnerable Tanzanians, has been actively supporting beneficiaries in various economic ventures.

At the trade fair, beneficiaries had the opportunity to interact with potential customers and expand their market reach.

“We are proud of our beneficiaries for embracing entrepreneurship and utilizing the resources provided by TASAF to improve their livelihoods,” said Japhet Boaz, TASAF’s Director of Knowledge Management and Advocacy.

In addition to economic empowerment, TASAF has also been actively involved in community development projects.

To commemorate the 61st anniversary of the Zanzibar Revolution, TASAF has undertaken the construction of several health facilities and schools in Pemba and Unguja.

These projects are expected to improve access to quality healthcare and education for the local communities.

The ZITF has provided a valuable platform for TASAF to showcase its achievements and highlight the positive impact of its programs on the lives of Tanzanians.
