Representing Tanzania, Hassanali brings more than two decades of experience championing African fashion and creative industries.

commenting on his participation at the summit, Hassanali said that the BRICS+ Fashion Summit is more than just a runway, it is a stage for dialogue, influence, and transformation.
“It gives emerging nations like Tanzania a platform to contribute to shaping the global creative economy, while also fostering trade, investment, and cultural partnerships,” he stated.
For the past three years, the Summit has amplified the voices of emerging fashion industries from more than 90 countries, promoting cross-border collaboration and trade opportunities.
With participants from Brazil, Ecuador, the UAE, Indonesia, South Africa, India, China, and beyond, it has become a hub for cultural diplomacy and creative economy exchange. Moscow’s growing role as a global fashion center makes it the perfect stage for such dialogue.

In parallel with the Summit, Moscow Fashion Week (August 28 – September 2, 2025) will feature designers from Russia alongside brands from 10 countries, including Brazil, South Africa, China, India, and Spain. This diverse lineup reflects the rise of a new multicultural fashion community at the heart of Russia.
