“There is a new form of struggle, one centered on resources. Wherever resources exist, it often attracts external interests, and such forces tend to exploit divisions among citizens,” he said.

In another development, he commended the church for its role in nurturing children and youth, noting that such efforts benefit both the church and the nation at large.

On his part, the Bishop of the ELCT Mufindi Diocese, Anthony Kipangula, praised the government’s commitment to serving citizens, highlighting that the Prime Minister’s visits demonstrate leadership that directly engages with the public.

“I have witnessed the government’s efforts in caring for citizens. Seeing a leader of your level come down to listen to a citizen’s case and allow them to speak was truly remarkable,” he said.

He added that the church will continue to collaborate with the government in promoting moral values, offering guidance, and praying for the nation to sustain peace and social well-being.
