DODOMA: IN recognition of citizens’ efforts in initiating community development projects such as schools and healthcare centers, the Tanzanian government has allocated 835m/- to facilitate the completion of six dispensary buildings and 17 classrooms in Nzega District, Tabora Region.
These projects were started through community efforts.
The Deputy Minister in the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (TAMISEMI), Dr. Festo Dugange, made this announcement while responding to a question posed by the Special Seats Member of the Parliament, Aziza Ally who inquired about the government’s plan to complete the unfinished school and dispensary buildings in Nzega District.
Dr. Dugange stated that between the 2020/21 and 2023/24 financial years, the Government allocated a total of 64bn/- to complete dispensary and school buildings across various local government authorities in the country.

“For the 2024/25 financial year, the government has set aside 835m/- specifically for the completion of dispensary buildings and classrooms in Nzega District,” said Dr. Dugange.
Adding, he said the government will continue to allocate funds to support the completion of community-initiated buildings to ensure that essential health and education services are brought closer to the people, thereby improving their quality of life.
This initiative is part of broader government efforts to strengthen the delivery of social services through collaboration with communities across the country.
