Tanzania allocates 25bn/- for upgrading Moshi Police College

MOSHI: THE Tanzanian government has allocated 25bn/- for the upgrading of the Tanzania Police College in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region, in a move aimed at improving training facilities and infrastructure for police officers.
Minister for Home Affairs Patrobas Katambi said the project is part of broader efforts to strengthen the capacity of the police force by providing a better learning and working environment for officers.
Speaking during a visit by members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security, who toured the school to assess progress of the rehabilitation project, the minister thanked President Samia Suluhu Hassan for providing the funds and other resources to the police force, noting that the support has already begun to transform the image and operations of the service.

Inspector General of Police Camillus Wambura also thanked the committee for visiting the institution and witnessing how they are being utilised in implementing construction projects efficiently and to the expected standards.
According to Wambura, the government has continued to strengthen the police force by improving infrastructure across the country to enable officers to work in a conducive environment while serving the public and addressing security challenges.
