President Samia congratulates Young Africans for impressive CAF record

President Samia Suluhu Hassan has congratulated Young Africans for making it to the CAF Confederation Cup finals.

The East African club sailed through into finals for the first time ever.

Through her Instagram account and Twitter platforms, the Head of StateĀ  briefly writes: “Congratulations to Yanga for reaching in the finals of confederation cup.

“You have written a history and give our country a big reputation. I wish you all the best in the finals.”

Yanga have progressed into the finale courtesy of a 4-1 aggregate victory over Marumo Gallants.

The envoys produced a 2-0 success in the second leg match at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in South Africa on Wednesday evening.

Fiston Mayele and Kennedy Musonda netted in each half to steer their side to the finishing line of the marathon.

History has been made as for the first time, Tanzania parade a side in the finals of the CAF managed contest.

Meanwhile, Yanga have accumulated 40m/- from President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s motivation package for scoring four goals in the two-legged semifinal duels.
