President Mwinyi highlights industrial growth during visit to GF Pavilion

DAR ES SALAAM: THE President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, graced the official closing ceremony of the landmark 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), popularly known as Sabasaba, marking the conclusion of this year’s annual trade exhibition.

During his tour of the exhibition grounds, President Mwinyi visited a number of pavilions, including the GF Pavilion, where he was received by GF Chairman, Mehboob Karmali, alongside GF Director, Alijawad Karmali, and TANTRADE Director, Dr Latifa Mohammed.

The President was taken through the company’s exhibition, where he was introduced to GF’s latest innovations and locally manufactured products, reflecting the company’s contribution to Tanzania’s industrial development and its commitment to producing high-quality goods for the local market.

The exhibition also highlighted GF’s continued investment in innovation, manufacturing excellence, and sustainable business practices that support Tanzania’s industrialization agenda and broader economic transformation.

President Mwinyi’s visit underscored the important role played by the private sector in advancing industrial growth, creating employment opportunities, and strengthening the country’s manufacturing capacity.

As one of the exhibitors at the golden jubilee edition of the trade fair, GF reaffirmed its commitment to producing world-class products while contributing to Tanzania’s vision of inclusive and sustainable economic development.

Speaking after the President’s visit, GF Chairman Karmali, described the occasion as a great honour and a strong endorsement of the company’s efforts to promote local manufacturing and industrial innovation.

“We are deeply honoured by the Predident Mwinyi visit to our pavilion. It inspires us to continue investing in quality, innovation, and manufacturing excellence for the benefit of Tanzanians,” he said.

GF also expressed its appreciation for the opportunity to showcase its achievements before the President and other distinguished guests.

As the curtains fell on the historic 50th edition of the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair, the company thanked TANTRADE for successfully organizing the exhibition and expressed gratitude to its customers, business partners, and visitors for their continued trust and support.

GF reaffirmed its commitment to championing products proudly made in Tanzania, while continuing to contribute to the country’s industrial and economic development.
