“You who are performing well, do not be discouraged by negligence from others, because the government continues to take action against anyone found to be careless at work. Without your diligence and professionalism, the development we are witnessing today would not be possible,” he said.
Highlighting Tanzania’s achievements, he said the country is among those with the best health workforce in East Africa and the Southern African Development Community (SADC), while reiterating that employees found guilty of negligence will face appropriate consequences.
Reflecting on the region’s healthcare history, the Premier stated that for nearly 60 years after independence, none of Katavi’s districts had district hospitals and accredited the government for the progress in hospital construction across the region.
Providing an update on the project, Acting Medical Officer Deogratias Banuba said the Wing B construction has so far reached 59 percent completion.
