Regarding water projects, Majaliwa explained that the government is currently working on projects in lakes, rivers, and dams to provide clean and safe water to communities in various parts of the country.

On the health sector, Majaliwa highlighted the government’s investment in health infrastructure, medicine, and medical equipment, from local levels to national institutions. This, he said, is aimed at reducing the burden on citizens who previously had to travel long distances to access health services, including specialized medical care.

In terms of electricity, he emphasized that the government has provided power to all districts and villages, and is now extending electricity to neighborhoods and islands to ensure that every Tanzanian household has access to electricity.

Talking about agriculture, Majaliwa mentioned the revival of cotton farming, which had previously seen a decline in production.

”The government has strengthened the cotton marketing system through the introduction of a warehouse receipt system, which has boosted the price of the crop. Cotton has now returned to its position as one of the country’s main cash crops, and many cotton ginning factories have been built, particularly in the Simiyu region,” he said.
