He said the NSSF project of a five-star hotel in Mwanza, once completed, will add value to the city. He assured the Regional Government of continued cooperation with NSSF to ensure the project’s successful completion and operation.

Speaking on behalf of the Director General of NSSF, Acting Director of Investments, Mr Mapesi Maagi, said the project’s investment is one of the Fund’s four responsibilities, which include member registration, contribution collection, investment, and benefit payments.

Mr Maagi emphasized that the completion of the hotel investment will boost economic activities in the Mwanza Region and the Lake Region, particularly in tourism.

“This is significant as the Mwanza Region is adjacent to the Serengeti National Park,” he added.

NSSF’s Mwanza Regional Manager, Mr Emmanuel Kahensa, expressed gratitude to the Regional Commissioner for visiting the hotel project.

Engineer Helmes Pantaleo, the NSSF Projects Manager, provided details on the project’s implementation.

He mentioned that all challenges have been resolved, and the project is expected to be completed by the end of this year, with operations commencing in March 2025.
