Mineral-rich Iringa Region opens doors for mining investors
IRINGA: THE Mining Commission through the Office of the Resident Mining Officer of Iringa Region has continued to encourage investment in the Mining Sector by providing education and showcasing various opportunities available through the Research, Innovation and Community Service Exhibitions ongoing at the Garden Posta grounds, Iringa Municipality.
The exhibition, which brought together various government and private sector institutions, aims to educate citizens about the services provided by these institutions as well as the economic opportunities available in various areas of development, including the mining sector.
Speaking at the exhibition, the Resident Mining Officer of Iringa Region, Geologist Bertha Luzabiko, said the participation of the Mining Commission aims to educate citizens about mining activities, procedures for obtaining mining licenses and investment opportunities available in the sector.

Bertha said the Iringa Region has various mineral resources that contribute significantly to economic development, so citizens and investors should use these opportunities by following the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing the mining sector in the country.
Initially opening the exhibition, Iringa Regional Commissioner, Kheri James urged citizens to use the exhibition to learn, be creative, and benefit from opportunities provided by various institutions for their own and national development.
The exhibition has been organized by the Iringa Regional Commissioner’s Office in collaboration with Mkwawa University, aiming to strengthen cooperation between public institutions, the private sector and citizens in stimulating development through research, innovation and the provision of quality services to the community.
