Absa donates 10mil/- to SOS Children’s Village

DAR ES SALAAM: Absa Bank Tanzania has donated 10 mil/- to support SOS Children’s Village as a part of its ongoing efforts to empower Tanzanian children and ensure they have the necessary resources to achieve their life goals.

The Bank’s Director of Global Markets Ms. Esther Maruma, said at the signing ceremony in Dar es Salaam that the contribution aligns with Absa Bank’s main purpose of empowering Tanzania for a Better Tomorrow, One Step at a Time, including uplifting the economic status of the African continent.

“The purpose of Absa Bank Tanzania is to empower Tanzanian children educationally, health-wise, and economically. We believe this donation will significantly contribute to improving the lives of children receiving various services at this facility.”

SOS Children’s Village, Acting Director Ms. Dorothy Ndege believes the donation will help the organization continue to strengthen child protection systems at all levels of society, enabling the sustainable well-being of the community.

At least 3,150 individuals in the Coastal and Dar es Salaam regions will benefit from the new support, she said.
