Yunus tasks Tanzanians to manufacture quality products that meet global market demands

KIGALI: THE Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations, Zuhura Yunus, has urged Tanzanian entrepreneurs participating in the 26th Jua Kali Exhibition in Rwanda to embrace innovation in product manufacturing to meet market demands and attract more customers locally and internationally.

She made the call on November 5, 2026, during a visit to Tanzania’s exhibition stands at Gikondo Grounds in Kigali, where the exhibition is underway.

She also encouraged them to use the exhibition as an opportunity to learn from fellow entrepreneurs from East African Community (EAC) member states, exchange experiences and establish business networks that could help them access new markets and expand their capital.

For her part, Acting Director of Employment and Skills Development Alana Nchimbi said Tanzania’s participation in the exhibition was part of the government’s efforts to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing platforms to showcase their products, connect with market opportunities and increase their contribution to national economic growth.

Meanwhile, entrepreneur Ali Suleimani said the exhibition had enabled him to win the East African Best Exporter of the Year award, attributing the achievement to innovations in his products, which attracted a large number of customers.
