Mchengerwa urges diligence in healthcare services

DODOMA: HEALTH workers have been urged to serve patients who visit health centers with humility, compassion, and a sense of devotion to their duties, as doing so does not diminish their level of education or professional status.

The call was made by the Minister of State in the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (TAMISEMI), Mohamed Mchengerwa, during the closing of the annual meeting of in-charges of primary-level health service facilities, held in Dodoma over two days.

Minister Mchengerwa emphasized that the health sector is critically important to national development, and that the provision of quality services significantly contributes to the peace and well-being of citizens.

“This sector carries the hopes of President Samia Suluhu Hassan and all Tanzanians. I urge you to perform your duties with integrity, dedication, and as a form of worship. Doing so will not lower your professional status but will instead increase your respect in the community,” Mchengerwa said.

The meeting brought together health professionals from various levels to discuss opportunities, challenges, and professional issues aimed at improving the delivery of services at the primary healthcare level.
