DAR ES SALAAM: IN an effort to enhance the legal sector in the country, the Office of the Attorney General has organized a five-day training program for all state lawyers to be held in Arusha from March 24 to 28 this year.
The training aimed to improve the efficiency and competence of these legal professionals is expected to bring together more than 300 lawyers.
Attorney General Hamza Johari made this announcement today, March 19, while addressing the media ahead of the training, which will be conducted by experienced legal experts from both within and outside the country.

Additionally, the program aims to instill patriotism among lawyers and emphasize the protection of national interests.
“This training will be conducted by seasoned legal experts from both within and outside the United Republic of Tanzania. One key area of focus, as emphasized by the President, is strengthening our capacity in drafting, negotiating, and entering into various international and domestic contracts.
“We will cover the fundamental principles of these contracts, the special skills required at the negotiation table, the ethical standards involved, and the dos and don’ts in contractual agreements,” Johari explained.
Furthermore, he urged all government lawyers who have not yet registered for the training to do so immediately, emphasizing that the program will bring significant benefits to the legal sector.
