ARUSHA: LAWYERS across Tanzania will converge in Arusha next Monday for the 2024 Professional Diversity Conference.
The week-long conference, scheduled from November 11 to November 16, will be hosted at Lush Garden Hotel under the TLS umbrella.
Addressing the media, president of the Tanganyika Law Society (TLS), Boniphace Mwabukusi’s said the Diversity Conference will be inaugurated by the Minister for Information, Communication and Information Technology, Mr Jerry Silaa.
The event will be held under the theme ‘Embracing Data Protection in the Multi-sector Economy: Building a Unified Approach to Privacy and Security.’
The highlight of the conference will take place on November 16, coinciding with the celebration of TLS’s 70th anniversary, where a symposium focused on national affairs will be hosted.

According to the TLS president, more than 1,000 participants, including advocates, members of parliament, judiciary officials, government representatives, paralegals and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), are expected to attend.
Representatives from both public and private sectors, Corporate Secretaries and IT officers will also join and the conference will be preceded by a series of diversity seminars.
