Yanga to have ultramodern stadium in coming 18 months

DAR ES SALAAM: THE new Young Africans stadium is expected to be completed within 18 to 24 months following the official launch of the project in the Jangwani area of Dar es Salaam.

Speaking today, May 15, 2026, during the project signing ceremony, Yanga President Hersi Said said the construction of the stadium will elevate the club’s status and serve as a new landmark for sports development in the country.

“My fellow Yanga’ fans, very soon your club will have a stadium here in this area (Jangwani). God willing, within a maximum of 18 to 24 months we will stand here to inaugurate this modern stadium,” said Hersi.

Hersi further noted that under the project arrangement, the club will own a 50 percent stake, while the investor will also hold an equal share in the ownership structure
