Yanga, Tanzania Prisons set for exciting clash

DAR ES SALAAM: YOUNG Africans Head Coach, Sead Ramovic, approaches today’s highly anticipated match against Tanzania Prisons with a clear determination to secure victory.

Acknowledging the challenge posed by their experienced opponents, Ramovic expressed confidence in Yanga’s preparation and focus on the task ahead.

“We are well aware that we are facing a difficult team with seasoned players. However, we are fully prepared to confront this challenge with a positive attitude,” Ramovic underscored, highlighting the importance of maintaining momentum in the league.

He urged his team to focus solely on the upcoming game, leaving past results behind. “The past does not matter; our focus is on the present,” he added.

On the other side, Tanzania Prisons’ Interim Coach, Shaban Mtupa, shared a similar confidence, despite facing some injury setbacks affecting key players.

He recognised the strength of Yanga, as one of the best teams in the league, but remained unfazed. “We respect Yanga’s capabilities, but we are prepared to face them and determined to perform well,” Mtupa stated.

Both coaches agree that a solid defensive performance will be crucial for their teams. Mtupa made it clear that improving defence is a priority as Tanzania Prisons aim to secure a positive result.

“Our goal is to ensure that we put in a solid defensive display and achieve a good result against Yanga,” he said.

Yanga come into the match following a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Kigoma’s Mashujaa FC, which lifted them to third place on the league table.

Conversely, Tanzania Prisons are looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Singida Black Stars in their last outing.
