Yanga finalize process to construct its own stadium

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Young Africans President, Hersi Said, has chaired the final discussion meeting on the implementation of the club’s stadium construction project.
The meeting was held today, May 12, 2026, in Dar es Salaam as part of preparations to officially launch the Yanga SC stadium project, which is expected to become one of the largest sports infrastructure developments in the country.
The club’s leadership stated that the project aims to strengthen the club’s development while also enhancing sports infrastructure capacity in Tanzania.

The meeting was attended by several senior club officials, including main sponsor Ghalib Said Mohammed, Chief Executive Officer Andre Mtine, and Executive Committee members Gerald Kihinga, Makaga, and Alex Ngai.
The stadium project is expected to transform the club’s infrastructure landscape and increase competitiveness within the country’s football sector.
