Winning six no easy feat- Yanga

DAR ES SALAAM: YOUNG Africans assistant coach Abdihamid Moalin commended his players for their impressive 6-1 victory over Kengold at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday.

Moalin shared the comments shortly after the match, highlighting that scoring such a number of goals in a single game is not easy.

“I am very happy with the way the team performed today. The players showed great commitment and discipline on the field, which is exactly what we expected from them. Scoring six goals in a single match is not easy, but we executed our game plan perfectly,” Moalin stated.

Following their commanding 6-1 victory over Kengold at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam, Young Africans assistant coach Moalin reflected on the importance of the win and the challenges ahead in the race for the league title.

He added that, “the battle for the league title remains competitive, so we must stay focused. This win is crucial, but consistency is key. We will continue working hard to ensure we stay at the top.”

Despite the dominant performance, Moalin underlined the need for consistency and focus as the season progresses.

“This win is crucial for us, but we must remain consistent. We will continue working hard because the season is still long and every match is important. Our goal is to keep improving and ensure that we stay at the top,” he said.

Kengold Assistant Coach Omary Kapilima acknowledged the defeat but remained optimistic about his team’s ability to recover in the coming fixtures.

“We knew we were facing a strong team, and today they showed their quality. Yanga took their chances well and we struggled to keep up with their intensity. Despite our efforts, their attacking strength was too much for us,” Kapilima noted.

“This is a learning experience for us. We have to go back, analyse our mistakes and work on improving our game. There are still many matches ahead and we are determined to fight for better results. We will analyse our mistakes and go back to training to improve for the upcoming matches,” he concluded.

Young Africans will return to action on Monday at Major Gen Isamuhyo Stadium, where they will face JKT Tanzania, while KenGold will play against Fountain Gate on the same day.
