Unveil Miloud as Head Coach, Singida cry foul

DAR ES SALAAM: SINGIDA Black Stars have strongly denied any involvement or prior knowledge of their head coach Hamdi Miloud’s reported move to Yanga SC, insisting that they were not consulted before his unveiling.

The club’s spokesperson was forced to address the matter on their official Instagram page after Yanga announced Miloud as their new head coach, replacing the outgoing Sead Ramovic.

In a strongly worded statement, Singida Black Stars accused Yanga of acting improperly by unveiling Miloud without formal communication or agreement.

“We have received with shock and great disappointment the news that our coach, Hamdi Miloud, has been unveiled by Yanga without following proper procedure,” the club’s statement read.

Singida Black Stars assured their supporters that they were investigating the situation and urged them to remain calm. “The club’s leadership is following up on this matter.

We kindly ask Singida Black Stars supporters to remain patient as we work toward resolving this issue,” the statement added. Miloud, who was officially appointed Singida Black Stars’ head coach in late December, has yet to manage a single match for the club.

His first game was set to take place tomorrow against Kagera Sugar at Liti Stadium in Singida. However, on Tuesday evening, reports emerged that Miloud had agreed to join Yanga, a claim that Singida vehemently dispute.

Yanga made the announcement via an official press release on their social media platforms, confirming Miloud’s appointment while also bidding farewell to Ramovic.

“Young Africans SC proudly announces its new head coach, Hamdi Miloud, who holds Algerian and French nationality,” Yanga stated.

They went on to praise Miloud’s credentials, describing him as a highly experienced tactician with an impressive track record in African football.

“Beyond vast experience, he has achieved remarkable success, winning the Algerian league title and reaching the CAF Champions League final in the 2015-16 season with USM Alger,” Yanga’s statement read.

Meanwhile, Sead Ramovic took to Facebook to express his gratitude to Yanga’s leadership. Accompanying a photo of himself embracing Yanga star Stephane Aziz Ki, Ramovic thanked the club’s president for his trust and support.

“I want to express my deepest gratitude to the president for the trust, support and opportunity to be part of this great club. His vision and leadership have made my journey truly special,” wrote Ramovic.

He described Yanga as a club with a bright future and encouraged the team to keep pushing forward. “Keep pushing, keep believing and keep making history,” he concluded.

The controversy surrounding Miloud’s sudden switch raises serious questions about Yanga’s transfer dealings and the contractual obligations of both clubs.

As the situation unfolds, all eyes will be on Singida Black Stars’ next move in response to this unexpected development
