Ways to Whiten Your Nails Naturally

DAR ES SALAAM: WHITENING your nails can be done with simple, natural ingredients from your kitchen.
Here are some effective methods: Buff away stains: Gently buff your nails using the fine side of a buffing block, working in an X-pattern.
Limit to 6 strokes per nail. Soak in hydrogen peroxide: Mix equal parts water and hydrogen peroxide. Soak your nails for 15 minutes daily.
Use almond or coconut oil to prevent dryness if used for more than 3-4 days. Try tea tree oil: Apply a few drops of tea tree oil to your nails and let it absorb.
Rinse after 5-10 minutes or leave on all day. Repeat for several weeks. Citrus oils like lemon or grapefruit can also be used.
Apply strawberries: Rub a cut strawberry on your nails for 5-10 minutes and rinse. Alternatively, mix crushed strawberries with baking soda, apply for 10 minutes, and rinse.
Activated charcoal and bentonite clay: Mix 1-2 teaspoons of either with water to form a paste. Apply to nails, massage gently, and rinse.
Scrub with lemon juice and baking soda: Mix 1 tablespoon lemon juice with 2 tablespoons baking soda. Apply, massage gently, and rinse after a few minutes.
Avoid cuts as lemon juice can sting. Soak your toes in vinegar: Combine 1 cup water with 4-5 tablespoons of apple cider or white vinegar.
Soak for 10 minutes daily. Use raw apple cider vinegar for added probiotic benefits and avoid tight shoes to prevent fungal infections.
