U15 Women’s team set for UEFA tourney
DAR ES SALAAM: THE Under-15 Women’s national team Assistant Coach Hilda Masanche has expressed that participation in the upcoming UEFA Women’s U-15 Development tournament will be crucial for building a competitive team.
The four-team tournament will take place from October 2 to October 7 at Hadzici Stadium in Bosnia, with each team playing three matches.
The opening match will feature Bosnia hosting Tanzania, followed by a match between Montenegro and Turkey, both on October 2.
On October 4, Tanzania will face Turkey, while Bosnia will take on Montenegro later that day at the same venue.
The tournament will conclude on October 7, with Montenegro competing against Tanzania and Turkey hosting Bosnia.
“The morale among our players is high, and they are fully focused, benefiting from the training programs we’ve implemented,” Masanche said.
Masanche further said that the tournament presents a great opportunity for them to gain exposure by competing internationally against their peers, making it very important for their development.

“Through this program, we aim to develop a competitive Under-17 team, as these players are on the path to the senior national teams aiming to build strong teams,” She added, and urge the football authority to invest wisely in young players by providing them with appropriate training schedules that match their age and development.
Tanzania is actively investing in grassroots football, evident in the deployment of numerous youth national teams in various international competition.
