Two ministers involved President Samia’s latest minor cabinet reshuffle
President Samia Suluhu Hassan has switched two ministers in a latest minor cabinet reshuffle announced on Saturday.
A press statement issued by Presidential Communications Directorate says the Head of State has appointed Jenista Mhagama as the new Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Coordination and Parliamentary Affairs).
Prior to her new role, Ms Jenista was Minister in the President’s Office – Public Services and Good Governance.
The experienced politician, who doubles as Peramiho Constituency MP, replaces Mr George Simbachawene who has been transferred to the President’s Office – Public Services and Good Governance.
According to the statement, the appointments take effect immediately.
The duo, the statement adds, will take oaths of their respective offices at the State House in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.
