Twanga Pepeta to unveil 16th album in Dar

DAR ES SALAAM: RENOWNED dancing band Twanga Pepeta is set to launch its 16th album at Mlimani City in Dar es Salaam today, following an intensive two-week training camp in Bagamoyo.
The digital album features 16 songs and will be launched alongside a commemoration of the 16th anniversary of the death of the band’s former leader, Abuu Semhando.
“We want our fans to come on Friday (August 7th) and see a Twanga Pepeta they know or perhaps ask, ‘Wow, is this the Twanga Pepeta we know?’” said band CEO Luiza Mbutu.

Luiza Mbutu said the Bagamoyo camp was part of preparations for what the group hopes will be a memorable performance for its fans.
“We have been sweating hard since January, so we decided to come to Bagamoyo, enjoy the sea breeze and prepare ourselves,” he said.
Tickets are priced at 30,000/- for ordinary seats, 50,000/- for VIP, 100,000/- for V-VIP and 1m/- for a table of 10.
