Trey Songz: US RnB superstar jets in Dar for the CRDB IMBEJU concert

DAR ES SALAAM: American R&B superstar Trey Songz has arrived in Tanzania ahead of the highly anticipated CRDB IMBEJU Sauti Moja Concert, scheduled to take place on August 14, 2026, at Posta Kijitonyama Grounds in Dar es Salaam.

The award-winning singer, best known for global hits including Bottoms Up, landed at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) late Wednesday night, where he received a warm welcome from Bongo Flava star Diamond Platnumz, fans, and event organizers.

Shortly after his arrival, Trey Songz appeared impressed by a vibrant display of traditional Tanzanian dances that formed part of his reception. The performance offered the singer a glimpse into the country’s rich cultural heritage and highlighted Tanzania’s unique artistic traditions.

Trey Songz is among the headline performers expected to grace the stage at the concert, which is set to attract thousands of music lovers from across Tanzania and beyond. He will perform alongside a lineup of celebrated artists, including Mbosso, BNXN (formerly known as Buju), G Nako, and Habza.
