Tanzania’s Beatrice Akyoo shines at Miss Grand International
VIETNAM: TANZANIA’S beauty queen, Beatrice Alex Akyoo, secured the fifth runner-up position at the Miss Grand International 2025 pageant held in Vietnam on Saturday evening.
Competing against 68 contestants, she earned a spot among the top ten finalists.
Upon learning of her placement, Beatrice expressed her gratitude on Instagram, celebrating this achievement with her fellow Tanzanians. “Hello, Tanzania. We made it to the Top Ten and I couldn’t be more grateful.”
Her journey began when she was crowned Miss Grand Tanzania on August 16, 2025. Reflecting on her experience after the finale, she thanked God for guidance and noted that the experience exceeded her expectations.
Beatrice credited the support, prayers and encouragement as her source of strength, stating that the result was a collective achievement.

This year’s pageant featured 68 contestants, with Emma Tiglao from the Philippines winning and Isabella Menin from Brazil as the first runner-up.
Beatrice, as the fifth runner-up, was recognised for her articulate speaking and calm demeanor, and her interview message aligned with the pageant’s theme, “Stop the War and Violence.”
