Beatrice Alex: Miss Grand Tanzanian envoy strikes gold in Thailand
BANGKOK: TANZANIA’S representative at the ongoing Miss Grand International pageant in Thailand, Miss Beatrice Alex, continues to fly the national flag high after securing third place in the Grand Talk category and 15th place in the Talent segment, where she danced to the popular song “Chambua Kama Karanga” by Tanzanian music legend Saida Karoli.
The prestigious international beauty pageant is expected to reach its grand finale on October 18, 2025 (Saturday), with Beatrice among the strong contenders likely to enter the Top 5 or even win the Miss Grand International 2025 crown.
Speaking to Daily News Digital via phone from Thailand, Beatrice called upon fellow Tanzanians to support her by casting their votes through her social media accounts, including Instagram, to help her bring the crown home.
“I thank God for how far I’ve come. This is a special opportunity for Tanzania to be recognized globally. I urge all Tanzanians to unite and vote massively so that the Miss Grand 2025 crown can come home,” she said.
Beatrice was crowned Miss Grand Tanzania 2025 in a glamorous event held on the night of August 17, 2025, at the Superdome Hall in Masaki, Dar es Salaam.
The 25-year-old beauty queen is a graduate of the University of Dar es Salaam, where she represented Dar es Salaam Region in the national competition that brought together 23 contestants from across the country.
Beyond beauty, Beatrice is known for her artistic talent, including drawing, photography, and travel, as well as her commitment to social advocacy, particularly promoting inclusive education for children with disabilities, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds.
She has expressed her determination to ensure that every child has equal access to education in an environment that accommodates their special needs, emphasizing that her success on the global stage will be used to amplify the voices of children with disabilities.
Through her outstanding performance, Beatrice Alex has placed Tanzania on the global map, carrying the hopes and prayers of millions of Tanzanians eagerly awaiting her success in the Miss Grand International 2025 finals.
