Tanzania picks Singida for May Day celebration

SINGIDA: TANZANIA has completed preparations for the national celebration of International Workers’ Day, scheduled to take place tomorrow, May 1, 2025, at Bombadia Grounds in Singida Region.
The event will be attended by various government leaders and labor organization representatives, with the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, expected to be the guest of honor.
Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa expressed his satisfaction with the preparations after receiving and inspecting a report on the progress of the arrangements. He commended the organizing committee for their excellent work and urged them to ensure that the few remaining improvements are finalized promptly to guarantee a successful event.

In an earlier briefing, the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (Labour, Youth, Employment and Persons with Disabilities), Ridhiwani Kikwete, stated that preparations had reached an advanced stage and the entire team was ready to welcome President Samia and other guests for the important occasion.
International Workers’ Day is observed annually on May 1st and serves as a platform to recognize the contributions of workers to national development, as well as to reflect on both challenges and achievements in the employment sector.
