DAR ES SALAAM: THE Tanzanian government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, has organized a special tour for diplomats to visit major tourist attractions.
The initiative aims to promote Tanzania as a top destination for tourism and investment worldwide.
Speaking to the press, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Ambassador Said Shaib Mussa, announced that the tour will take place from April 11 to April 15, 2025. This initiative is part of the government’s strategy to boost tourism and strengthen diplomatic relations.
During the tour, diplomats will have the opportunity to visit some of Tanzania’s most famous attractions, including Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and the Zanzibar Islands, which are renowned for their beautiful beaches and unique landscapes.

While in Zanzibar, the diplomats will attend a special dinner hosted by the President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi. During this event, the President’s Tourism Award will be presented as part of the celebration of Tanzania’s strong relationship with the international community.
Ambassador Mussa further explained that short documentaries and tourism films will be produced and distributed to the diplomats to help promote Tanzania’s attractions through international media platforms.
Additionally, he stated that this initiative is expected to increase the number of tourists, boost the country’s economy, and enhance diplomatic relations. The tour is being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB), the Zanzibar Commission for Tourism (ZCT), and other key stakeholders, including investors and private tourism companies.
