Tanzania gives global peace advocate a warm welcome

DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA has officially welcomed global peace advocate, Saddam S. Alaya, who received a colourful reception from government officials, community representatives, elders and traditional leaders upon his arrival in the country.

The welcoming ceremony celebrated Tanzania’s rich cultural heritage through traditional dances, music and cultural performances, highlighting the country’s hospitality and commitment to unity.

In recognition of his global peace mission, Tanzanian leaders and elders presented Alaya with traditional attire worn by respected leaders and a ceremonial staff, symbolising respect, leadership and friendship.

As part of the ceremony, he was also presented with a Tree of Hope, which he is expected to plant as a symbol of peace, hope, love and unity, reflecting a shared commitment to building a more peaceful and united world.

Speaking during the event, the hosts commended Alaya for promoting messages of peace and solidarity across different countries through his international journey.
