ANTALYA: TANZANIA has taken its place at the forefront of global diplomatic engagement as it participates in the fifth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2026), a major international gathering bringing together leaders, policymakers, and experts from around the world.

The forum, which has officially opened today in Antalya and is running until April 19, is organised by Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The conference brings together global stakeholders to discuss shifting power balances and the rising challenges affecting international trade and cooperation.

This year’s theme, “Mapping Tomorrow, Managing Uncertainties,” highlights the urgency for nations to anticipate global risks, identify opportunities, and strengthen strategic responses in an increasingly unpredictable world.

Tanzania is represented at the forum by its Ambassador to Turkey, Iddi Seif Bakari, who is actively engaging in high-level discussions focused on peace and security developments, particularly in the West African region.

ADF2026 has brought together a wide range of participants, including heads of state, diplomats, policymakers, academics, business leaders, journalists, and civil society representatives, all working to shape responses to pressing global political and economic challenges.

The forum is expected to further strengthen international cooperation and provide a platform for countries like Tanzania to contribute to shaping global dialogue on peace, security, and sustainable development.
