Tanzania, Qatar agree to broaden ties in the communications sector

DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA, and Qatar have moved to broaden their cooperation in the communications sector.
This was reached in a discussion between the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) Director General, Dr Jabiri Bakari and Qatar’s diplomatic mission in Dar es Salaam, Fahad Rashid Al-Marekhi at the TCRA headquarters.
According to a statement from TCRA, the visit aimed at enhancing collaboration in the regulation and development of the communications industry.

During their discussions, both sides expressed commitment to expanding cooperation, particularly through the exchange of expertise and experience in various areas of communications regulation and digital development.
Additionally, TCRA reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with international partners, including institutions from Qatar, to ensure continued improvement in efficiency, innovation, and sustainable growth within Tanzania’s communications sector.
The Qatar ambassador visited TCRA, accompanied by officials from Tanzania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, with the focus on strengthening bilateral relations and fostering technical cooperation in the sector.
