By enhancing digital financial inclusion, SMEs in Tanga are expected to overcome traditional barriers such as limited access to credit and cumbersome transaction processes.
This shift not only streamlines business operations but also opens new opportunities for innovation and market expansion, positioning the region’s entrepreneurs for sustainable economic growth.
Since its inception in 2010, Mixx has disbursed loans totalling over 1tri/- to over six million customers, significantly boosting financial access.
This extensive lending capacity has enabled countless individuals and small businesses to access much-needed capital, fuelling entrepreneurship and economic activity across various sectors.
By bridging the financing gap, Mixx has helped reduce reliance on informal credit sources, thereby promoting more sustainable and formalised business growth.
In addition to credit provision, the initiative has fostered a strong savings culture, with total deposits surpassing 600bn/-, underscoring its role in promoting financial inclusion and economic empowerment.
