DODOMA: The President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (TAMISEMI) has submitted its revenue and expenditure estimates for the 2025/2026 financial year to Parliament, amounting to 11.783 trillion. This budget covers the ministry itself and all institutions under its jurisdiction.
This marks an increase from the 10.125tri/- allocated for the 2024/2025 financial year, reflecting a rise of over 1.66tri/-.
Presenting the budget, the Minister of State in the President’s Office—TAMISEMI, Hon. Mohamed Mchengerwa, said that 3.95 tri/—of the total amount has been requested for development projects. Of that amount, TSh 2.5 trillion will come from domestic sources, including 613.44bn/—from local government authorities’ internal revenues, while 1.45 tri/- will be sourced externally.
On the other hand, 7.84tri/- has been allocated for recurrent expenditure. Of this, 6.3tri/- is earmarked for salaries and 1.53tri/- for other expenses, including 1.067 tri/- from local government internal revenues.

“We have not only submitted revenue and expenditure estimates, but also presented a vision of hope, a roadmap for development, and a commitment to responsible leadership,” said Minister Mchengerwa. “TAMISEMI is not seeking political praise; we are looking for real solutions to improve the lives of ordinary Tanzanians.”
The Minister also called upon regional leaders, local government authorities, and all citizens to work together in solidarity to drive meaningful progress.
“With this commitment and strong faith in the vision of Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, we present this budget as a working tool, a symbol of hope, and a catalyst for administrative, economic, and social transformation,” he added.
In conclusion, Minister Mchengerwa reaffirmed TAMISEMI’s commitment by stating:
“TAMISEMI is the foundation of sustainable development. Every shilling has a purpose, every leader has a duty, and every Tanzanian citizen has a role!”
