Tanzania giants Simba have suffered a 1-0 defeat from Al Hilal in an international friendly match at Al Hilal Stadium in Khartoum, Sudan.
A towering 61st minute header by Al Hilal striker John Mano was enough to give the hosting side their second win in a row after outclassing Asante Kotoko of Ghana 5-0 in their first outing.
As it stands, the Reds have finished on second place of the mini-tournament after winning 4-2 against the Ghanaian side in their previous game before facing Al Hilal.
On the other hand, Asante Kotoko have completed the contest on back pedal as they have not managed to record any triumph from two fixtures played.
Up next, the Msimbazi street giants are expected to play one more signal testing match versus AS Arta Solar of Djibouti at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in the city on Saturday.
Zoran Manojlovic’s men used the two games in Sudan to sharpen the squad as they gear up for the CAF Champions League preliminary round duels.
They are set to play against Nyasa Big Bullets of Malawi in a two-legged encounter with the first leg slated on September 10th at Bingu Stadium in Lilongwe.
The two sides will meet again for the return clash at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on September 18th with the best winner progressing into the second preliminary round of the biggest club competition on the continent.
