DAR ES SALAAM: SIMBA SC Head Coach Fadlu Davids expressed his satisfaction with his team’s mentality following a dramatic 1-0 victory over JKT Tanzania at KMC Complex Stadium on Tuesday.
The match was decided by a last-minute penalty from Jean Ahoua, securing all three points for Simba.
“I am very pleased with the team’s performance, particularly their determination to fight until the very end,” said Davids.
“Despite JKT Tanzania’s resilience, Simba never gave up and that’s the mentality I want to see in every game moving forward.”
Davids stressed the importance of maintaining focus and persistence throughout each match.
“The key is to never give up as a team. We must continue to push until the final whistle,” he added.
While celebrating his team’s win, the coach also commended JKT Tanzania’s efforts, recognising them as one of the top teams in the Mainland Premier League.
“JKT displayed a strong performance. Thankfully, we stood firm as a team and I hope we can continue to showcase a perfect display in our upcoming matches,” Davids remarked.
On the opposing side, JKT Tanzania’s Head Coach Hamady Ally congratulated his players for their solid performance despite the late setback.
