Samia appoints board leaders, transfers two DCs

DAR ES SALAAM: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has transferred two District Commissioners and appointed various leaders to different positions.

In a statement released yesterday by Chief Secretary Ambassador Dr Moses Kasiluka, the Head of State has transferred Dr Vicent Naano from Bunda District to Maswa District.

The Head of State has also moved Maswa District Commissioner Aswege Kaminyoge to Bunda District.

President Samia also has appointed CPA Juma Kimori the new Co-operative Audit and Supervision Corporation (COASCO) board chairman. He replaces Yona Killagane whose tenure of office has expired.

Moreover, Prof Edward Hosea has been appointed the Chairman of the Benjamin Mkapa Hospital (BMH) board of trustee.

Prof Hosea is taking over from Dr Deo Mtasiwa whose tenure has expired.

President Samia has also appointed Renatha Rugarabamu, the new chairperson of Workers Compensation Fund (WCF) board of trustee.

Ms Rugarabamu replaces Mr Emmanuel Humba who has finished his term of office.

Judge (rtd) Awadh Mohamed Bawazir has been appointed as new Public Procurement Appeals Authority (PPAA) chairman.

He replaces Judge (rtd) Sauda Mjasiri who has finished her tenure of office.

The Head of State has also reappointed Ambassador Ramadhan Muombwa Mwinyi the chairman of the council of Dr Salim Ahmed Salim Centre for Foreign Relations (CRF) for the second term.
