RC Makalla commends patriotic Arusha residents

ARUSHA: ARUSHA Regional Commissioner, Amos Makalla, has commended the residents of the region for rejecting the planned demonstrations scheduled for December 9, 2025.
He also emphasized the importance of cultivating a lasting culture of refusing demonstrations or any activities that could signal a breach of peace in the region.
Makalla delivered the commendation today, December 10, 2025, during his visit to inspect business activities at the Kilombero Market in Arusha City. Addressing traders and residents, he assured them that the government, in collaboration with security and defense organs, will continue to ensure that peace and stability are maintained.
“The world has seen, and Tanzanians have proven to the world that when they choose to protect peace, they truly do so. Those who wished us ill yesterday have been embarrassed. Tanzanians love peace and are not accustomed to demonstrations or acts that disrupt harmony, and those who wanted chaos have now locked themselves indoors, feeling defeated because they did not succeed,” Makalla said.
