Ramovic applauds team’s performance

DAR ES SALAAM: YOUNG Africans Head Coach, Saed Ramovic, has expressed immense pride in his team’s performance following their impressive 4-0 victory over Tanzania Prisons at KMC Complex on Sunday.

Speaking after the match, the coach praised his side’s determination and mind-set, acknowledging that while they knew the game would be challenging, they were fully prepared and focused from the very first minute.

“We knew it would be a tough game, but we came with the right mind-set. From the first minute, we took control and never looked back. We were much focused, and we wanted the three points,” the coach said. “The supporters saw a beautiful game, and we are happy to keep a clean sheet for the first time.”

The coach also took time to congratulate Tanzania Prisons for their fair play throughout the match but underscored the efforts of his players. “All the credit goes to the players.

We have a squad of 20-23 players, and they have shown great improvement. Our fitness level has increased, and we are now able to maintain intensity for 60 to 70 minutes.”

He acknowledged that the victory was a result of hard work and character. “Without the effort and willingness of the players, we would not have improved. They did a fantastic job, and I am absolutely proud to be their coach.”

The coach also singled out his goalkeeper for his solid performance, despite having little to do throughout the game.

“Our goalkeeper only had to save one shot, which speaks volumes about our defensive work as a team. We were compact, we didn’t let the opponent breath and kept them away from our goal,” he added.
