Pundit sees better Yanga in Dar Derby
DAR ES SALAAM: RENOWNED Coach and football pundit Kennedy Mwaisabula says Young Africans will be an edge above Simba when they meet this Saturday at Benjamin Mkapa basing on the available records.
Speaking to Daily News, Mwaisabula, who previously played for Young Africans, said his former club, with superior 58 goals for and 9 against, seemed to have the best attacking squad well supported by their solid defense.
Simba, who are placed second in the league standings, have netted 46 goals while allowing 8 goals behind their net.
“Yanga are buoyed by a good number of experienced and talented,” said Mwasabula.
He clarified that he didn’t mean to underestimate Simba but insisted that Yanga players’ vast experience in high-caliber matches gives them an edge over their traditional rivals.

“It’s a tough match, and all players understand the importance of giving their best. Despite frequent coaching changes, Yanga boast of quality players capable of delivering desired results,” he said.
He further added, “However, Yanga will only dominate if Simba’s defense is careless, as they have been prone to making recurring mistakes.”
For Mwaisabula, Yanga can either win or draw on Saturday, but not the loss as Simba will be under pressure to secure a victory for the first time so as strengthen their position in the Premier League standings.
He concluded saying if Simba can minimize defensive errors, improve goalkeeping performance, and utilize their scoring opportunities, they can get what they target.
