PSSSF registers 4,800 Police cadets

KILIMANJARO: THE Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF) has registered 4,800 prospective police officers who are about to complete their training at the Moshi Police College in Kilimanjaro Region.
The registration exercise was preceded by an awareness session on social security, conducted by PSSSF officials led by the Central Zone Manager based in Dodoma, Michael Bujiba.
Speaking during the exercise, Bujiba stated that the initiative symbolizes PSSSF’s commitment to supporting the recruits throughout their career journey—from recruitment to retirement.
“Today you are being employed by the government in your youth and strength, and you will earn a salary. But because the government cares, it is also preparing for your life after service through retirement benefits,” said Bujiba.

On his part, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police from the Headquarters’ Compensation and Benefits Unit, Basil Pandisha, commended PSSSF for continuing to provide social security education not only to the new recruits but also to officers who are already registered.
“It is commendable to see institutions like PSSSF equipping our officers with knowledge about their benefits. This will help them plan their present and future lives effectively,” Pandisha said.
The exercise reflects PSSSF’s commitment to ensuring that every public servant understands their rights and responsibilities within the social security system.
