Prof Kabudi tasks the Council of Political Parties to embrace the 4Rs philosophy

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Policy, Parliament, Coordination and Persons with Disabilities, Professor Palamagamba Kabudi, has urged newly elected political party leaders to use the 4Rs philosophy initiated by President Samia Suluhu Hassan as a guide and tool in executing their responsibilities to strengthen democracy and contribute to national development.

Professor Kabudi issued the directive in Dar es Salaam on October 7, 2026, during the launch of the new leadership and logo of the Council of Political Parties, an event attended by representatives of various political parties in the country.

He also urged the leaders to use wisdom and dialogue to encourage political parties that have withdrawn from the Council to return and participate in discussions, stressing that no issue is beyond resolution through dialogue.

He further urged the leaders to use dialogue to develop and present ideas, seek solutions to challenges and provide advice, saying the power of ideas is significant and stakeholders should therefore sit together and engage in discussions.

At the same time, he called on the leaders to ensure that they carry out their responsibilities in accordance with laws and regulations, while exercising wisdom in decision-making and the execution of their duties. He said leaders often overlook the importance of these principles when carrying out their responsibilities.

Prof Kabudi said the leaders should discharge the responsibilities of the Council of Political Parties in accordance with established laws and procedures, particularly its role of bringing political parties together to discuss various issues relating to multiparty democracy and providing advice aimed at fostering unity among political parties.
