Pamba see Premier league at tunnel end

THE Head Coach of Pamba, Yusuph Chipo has applauded his squad after their 1-0 hard earned victory over JKT Tanzania in their Championship League match at Nyamagana Stadium over the weekend.

The coach said the match was very tough as since it was decisive.

“Actually, the match was difficult, to be honest JKT Tanzania dominated the match and they were playing well in the midfield and in the upfront. We created a few chances in the first half,” he said.

Adding, Chippo said his team created many opportunities but lacked sharpness to convert most of the chances they created.

He said in the second half, his team changed and got one chance and managed to utilise it to score the winner.

“Congratulations to my players Mashaka Khamis and William Kisinga, the players played bravely and helped the team to win.,” he said.

He congratulated his team for their 14-match unbeaten run at Nyamagana.

He said his players really faced great competition from their opponents, something that led the match to become very difficult.

Chipo, the former Coastal Union coach, has asked the fans to show up in large numbers in their last match.

Pamba are placed second with 56 points after playing 27 games. The team has won seventeen, drawn five and lost five matches.

They have scored 33 and conceded 19 goals.

The top-placed two teams will qualify for the Premier League next season.

On May 13th, Pamba will play Fountain Gate Academy at Nyamagana Stadium.

Meanwhile, JKT Tanzania Head Coach Malale Hamsini said his team played well but their opponents; Pamba  were very good in defending something he said made his players not to score any goal.

He said the league is very difficult due to the fact that every team works hard in home and away venues.
