One Tanzanite Football Academy wins Gothia Cup 2026 title in Sweden

GOTHENBURG: ONE Tanzanite Football Academy (OTFA) has continued to make history for Tanzanian youth football after winning the Gothia Cup 2026 Under-17 championship in Sweden.
The victory further cements Tanzania’s growing reputation on the international stage through its young football talent, with OTFA once again demonstrating its ability to develop highly competitive players.
The triumph adds to the academy’s impressive record. In 2025, OTFA won the Dana Cup U16 title in Denmark, becoming the first team from East and Southern Africa to achieve the feat since 1982. The academy also reached the Top 8 in the Dana Cup U18 competition, while at the 2025 Gothia Cup it advanced to the Top 8 in the U16 category and the Top 16 in the U18 category.
