Nyalandu calls on institutions to uphold peace, love, unity
MWANZA: THE former Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Lazaro Nyalandu, has urged the youth and religious followers across the country to recognize that there are no greater values in the nation than peace, love, and unity.
Nyalandu made the call today, Monday, October 20, 2025, while attending a Peace Conference organized by the Peace Committee of Religious Leaders from various faiths in Mwanza Region. The conference carried the theme: “Elections are a time for decisions, let’s all participate.”
He emphasized that it is every Tanzanian’s duty to protect peace, especially during the election period, by participating in voting peacefully, with love and mutual respect.

“Let us remind our youth and followers that there is no greater value in the nation than peace, love, and unity. Tanzania should continue to stand firm among nations and nurture all religious beliefs. The government has no religion, but it allows freedom and peace for people of all faiths to worship their God,” said Nyalandu.
This statement underscores the importance of cherishing peace and unity as the foundation for national development and the success of a democratic election process.
